I also have a background in engineering, having served as Avionics Team Lead for the Project Fenrir high-altitude balloon research program at the University of Alabama for two years. Additionally, I competed in the MATE Center Underwater ROV competition for three years, and my team placed third at the 2012 international competition. I hold a Technician Class FCC Amateur Radio License (KM4LEX) and a PADI Open Water Diver scuba certification.
